Sri Krishna Janmastami Day

20 August 2003
Preparing the nat-mandir for the first programme since remodeling began.
The basic floor and edging is complete. Polishing has not begun.
Prabhu Bhudev, Sri Govindasundarjiu's pujari, fasting but serving tirelessly.
Chant and be happy: Prabhu Jadu Gopal and Prabhu Jagadananda.
Accepting offerings to Their Lordships from local villagers, residents of Sri Gupta-Govardhan.
The new open-style nat-mandir decorated for the occasion.
Rice-flour designs on the front of Srila Guru Maharaj's Samadhi Mandir...
...and on the plinth of Sri Sri Guru Gauranga Gandharva Govindasundarjiu's Mandir.
Continuous reading from the Scriptures throughout the day...
...and into the early evening.
Their Lordships hearing Their glories being chanted.
Evening, and new flags, but no breeze to show them, as devotees head towards a special night commemorating Lord Krishna's Appearance over 5,000 years ago.
