These two songs just sung in the invocation to this evening's programme, "Ki jani ki bole, tomara dhamete...", and "Emona durmmati, samsara bhitare..." were very dear to Srila Guru Maharaj and he especially chose these two for me. I am very happy to sing these this year. I am also thinking I have got the chance this year to sing, as we do every year, the Appearance Song of Gauranga, "Nadiya-udayagiri...."
Every year Sripad Bhakti Prasun Aranya Maharaj goes on Nabadwip Dham Parikrama with you all even though he is now old.
If we will get chance we shall try to make this Math bigger, but my second death warning I have already got (in the form of a stroke last August).
Time is always passing, this mundane world is like a 'passing show.' But with this human form we have fortunately got proper direction by living in Krishna consciousness.
We all think this material body is our existence, but it is not the case. All bodies will pass away one day, this is not a surprise. If we can satisfactorily pass our time in Krishna consciousness with service to Guru, to Vaisnava and to Sadhu, that will give us super-benefit of life.
Mahaprabhu was born in 1407 era of Sakabda. That day was purnima day, full-moon day. Dol Purnima is going on all over India and the world, but now Gaura-Purnima is going on all over the world especially in Nabadwip Dham.
Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Thakur's many qualified disciples celebrated this festival in Nabadwip Dham.
Mahaprabhu appeared during a full eclipse of the moon.
Srila Krishna Das Kaviraj Goswami has expressed this very nicely in his Sri Chaitanya-charitamrita, and every year we are singing this in the song: "Nadiya-udayagiri, purnchandra gaurahari..." (Cc Adi 13.98)
