We are all very happy Gurudev has decided to come to London at the end of July. For the benefit of devotees around the world who might wish to come I'm giving you information about accommodation. This year there is less accommodation available with devotees near the London Math because a number of devotees have moved away. So, we have researched for affordable hotel accommodation in the area. The best is approximately 2.5 miles from the Math. Devotees would have to get taxis to the Math for early morning darshan or use London's Night Bus service, but can use the normal daily bus services at other times. The hotel is ETAP HOTEL London East Barking. Rooms can be booked over the Web or by 'phone.
The rooms can be viewed on the Web sites. There is an attached shower and toilet. The cost is £35.00 per day for either: 3 adults sharing , or two adults and one child over 12yrs, or two adults, one child over 12yrs and a child under 12yrs e.g. a baby. You should confirm all these details when booking. Be assured that this hotel is very modern and clean. THERE IS ONE DRAWBACK WITH THIS HOTEL. IT APPEARS YOU CAN BOOK ONLY FOR A MAXIMUM OF 4 DAYS. However you should check with the hotel to confirm this. Transport to and from the hotel is as follows: From the bus stop at the Green Street/Barking Road intersection(about 250 metres south of the Math) you get the No.5 bus to bus stop near the Tesco Superstore at the Barking Road/North Circular Road roundabout. The hotel is about 150 metres due south from the Tesco Superstore. Alternatively, from the bus stop on Plashet Grove just east of the Green Street/Plashet Grove roundabout(about 250 metres north of the Math) you can get a No.238 bus to the Tesco Superstore. To get to the Math for early morning darshan and Mangala Arati you can get the N15 night bus from the Tesco Superstore bus stop to the Green Street/Barking Road intersection. This service starts at approximately 12.30 a.m. until 5.30 a.m. and the service is one bus every 30 minutes in either direction. OTHER HOTEL ACCOMMODATION There are other hotels nearer Green Street. Their quality is not as good and the comparative cost of a family room is a lot more.
