This past weekend Srila Gurudeva bestowed upon our humble community of Oregon devotees the name of 'Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Ashram.' The auspicious event was celebrated by the observance of Sri Vamana Dwadasi, the Appearances of Srila Jiva Goswami and of Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakur.

The devotees had the good fortune to observe these holy days in the company of loving associates headed by Sripad Bhakti Chandan Parvat Maharaj. Maharaj led us in fasting, kirtan, and readings, accompanied by delicious prasadam prepared by Jagamohini Didi, Maladhari Didi, and Navasundari Didi. Arati and offerings were made to Their Lordships Sri Sri Guru Gauranga Mahaprabhu and Sri Sri Nitai-Gaurachandra.

Just as Sri Vamana Dev covered the entire universe with His step and allowed the holy Ganges water to flow down to purify the conditioned souls, Srila Gurudeva has once again stepped across the earth by completing his 20th World Tour. His Divine Grace continues to reclaim the conditioned souls of this world by allowing the river of Divine Mercy to flow down into the hearts of the aspiring worldwide devotees.
