2 and 3, 2003 —
For the pleasure of our Divine Master Srila Gurudev, Srila Bhakti Sundar
Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj, His Holiness Sripad Bhakti Vijay Trivikram
Maharaj and the always inspired and enthusiastic Rohini Shakti Didi hosted
the First National Meeting of devotees of our Brazilian family. The programme
was held at Srila Gurudev's beautiful Ashram, the Sri Chaitanya Sridhar
Govinda Seva Ashram in the mountains of Campos de Jordao, in Sao Paulo.
About fifty devotees came from all around the country, making the meeting
a very happy event enlightened by Sripad Trivikram Maharaj's preaching
the unending glories of Srila Gurudev. The days included new initiations
on behalf of Srila Gurudev, and everyone engaged in lots of intense Kirtan,
reading the holy Scriptures, and very nice Prasadam feasts.
For two days, the devotees had the opportunity to be together in the mood
of serving and glorifying our Divine Master and Sri Gauranga Sundar, Gurudev's
'9 year old' Deity in Brazil.
All Brazilian devotees are now waiting for the next meeting to take place,
in 2004. We all pray that our dearmost Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami
Maharaj will accept the devotees' heartfelt invitation to be with us on
that occasion, along with his most intimate and exalted servitors.
