Part Four. Subject summary:

  • Srila Guru Maharaj wrote a sloka "koti-kama-murchchhitanghri-rupa-rasa-rangaram." (Sri Sri Prema Dhama Deva Stotram, verse 2)
  • Quotes a supporting sloka of Jayadev, and explains the meaning, "If you tell me a little bit, the lustre of your smile will come into my heart and my heart will be enlightened." Just one spark can remove a thousand years' darkness, like that.
  • Sings slokas.
  • Mahaprabhu every night tasted the slokas of Jayadev and Vidyapati.
Quoting. The beauty of crores [tens of millions] of cupids is living within the form of Lord Sri Krishna.
  • It is good for everyone not to try to understand everything in the super-section of spiritual life. But your target will be that, and you should start from the starting point: chanting Hare Krishna, the Holy Names of Lord Krishna and Radharani. This will be good for everyone. Later you will get much revealed wealth in you heart.
  • Still your generator is not working, so spend some energy to make the generator run. Once it is running it will give so much light.
  • Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakur said about sahajiyaism, that you have not gone up into the tree but you are thinking you will get the ripe mango. How can you get it!
  • So first start your generator, if everything is OK light will come.
  • It is a living matter. You are also conscious. And through your consciousness the whole body is working. That little bit of conscious form is distributing so much light in an elephant's body, in a hog's body, a cow's body, a human body.
  • That consciousness is so very small. The Scriptures said:

    balagra-sata-bhagasya
    satadha kalpitasya cha
    bhago jivah vijneyah
    sa chanantyaya kalpate

["When the upper point of a hair is divided into one hundred parts and again each of such parts is further divided into one hundred parts, each such part is the measurement of the dimension of the spirit soul."]

  • Now also the scientists are telling us about electrons, protons, molecules and many things. They also say these small things are very powerful, if you go to break one atom it will make huge disturbance. It is truth.
  • We tend not to believe what's said in the Scriptures because we cannot prove it, but what science is showing we tend to believe.
  • When the atom bomb was first exploded, German born Openheimer was questioned what he felt, and he quoted from Gita 11:12. (The radiance of a thousand rising suns might resemble something of the effulgence of that Universal Form of the Supreme Lord.)
  • The current president of India is Muslim but every day he is reading Bhagavad-gita. And the Indian born scientist Narlikar [Professor Jayant Vishnu Narlikar (1)] who [was in line to get] a Nobel Prize after discovering something, was questioned as to where he got this idea. He replied, "From Bhagavad-gita."
  • I heard from Srila Guru Maharaj that Einstein's wife asked to him what he is now trying to discover, and Einstein said that I'm trying to find how after 500 years you and I will be able to talk as we are now, in this form.
  • One who is a super-scientist must be theistic. All of them are reading Bhagavad-gita, and not only Gita. I heard they have a strong culture in Germany to discover things through the Scriptures of India.
  • Question by devotee: Please explain in a gist how in the 'Srimad Bhagavad-gita, The Hidden Treasure of the Absolute' it is continuing from hidden to more hidden to most hidden.
  • Srila Govinda Maharaj: Gita has given all knowledge in deep to deeper to deepest. Throughout the Gita in every chapter we can see Buddhi Yoga as Bhakti Yoga. Buddhi yoga will get more formation in Bhakti yoga.
  • Also in Gita, karmma-yoga is mixing with Bhakti-yoga. Whatever sadhana you do, Srimad Bhagavad-gita says that without Krishna-Bhakti, without Devotion, you will not be successful. But so many processes are given in Bhagavad-gita because so many various types of jivas' minds are attracted in different ways. To bring them from that platform to the Devotional platform, the process is given in Gita.
  • Direct karmma cannot give Bhakti but when karmma is dedicated to Krishna, then Bhakti will come.
  • Knowledge is pavitra, in a material way, but it will be spiritually powerful when it will be within Bhakti. Jnan can take you from this planet to other planets, but it cannot touch God consciousness without Bhakti, without faith.
  • Adau sraddha tatah sadhu-sango' tha bhajana-kriya...(2) This is the procedure of Bhakti Yoga. Sraddha is the best thing that can give the solution, the meanings.

(1) - 'The Tribune' newspaper of India: "Professor Jayant Vishnu Narlikar ... has won almost every prize and distinction that one can possibly get in science and has been in line for the Nobel Prize in Physics for the past two decades."

(2) - 'Sermons of the Guardian of Devotion Vol. I': " Through self giving I can acquire my fortune, and not as a master sitting in my chair gathering information from different quarters to utilise for my selfish plans. Adau sraddha tatah sadhu sanga 'tha bhajana kriya (B.r.s. Purva, 4.15): to progress with faith, keeping the association of devotees and dedicating one's activities to the Lord, means this - you must go forward in your life with the spirit that you are willing to give away this life. 'Do or die' is, of course, not in the physical sense but the internal sense (bhajana kriya). This is self giving, ego giving."
