- Srila Krishna Das Kaviraj
Goswami is explaining Mahaprabhu's Pastimes after hearing from Raghunath
Das Goswami and Swarup Damodar and Rupa Goswami. He heard Raghunath
Das Goswami's daily diary. He explained every point in his own way.
No one else could do like that, therefore the devotees were very worried
that after Kaviraj Goswami none else would be able to give this conception,
so they all requested him that even although he was eighty years old,
still please give us that essence.
- Then Kaviraj Goswami
took permission from Madan Mohan to see if He wants it or not. When
he went to His Temple, a garland fell down and was given to him from
Madan Mohan, then he began writing Sri Chaitanya-charitamrita.
- Srila Guru Maharaj explained
two chapters to me: the one of Ramananda Ray and the one of Sarvabhauma
Bhattacharyya -- chapters 6 and 8 of Chaitanya-charitamrita, Madhya-lila
-- with full explanation, and that is my wealth.
- I did not read without
Srila Guru Maharaj's wish. When he wanted to hear some section, I
would read, and where necessary he gave explanation. At that time
we had plenty of time, with no disturbance from missionary activity.
For two or three years we lived like that, and that is the wealth
of my full life.
- Srila Guru Maharaj arranged
some songs of Bhaktivinod Thakur and of Narottama Das Thakur for us
to learn. There, all wealth is given. Sambandha, abhideya and prayojana
-- everything is going on within these three.
