10 minute excerpt from an informal discourse given by
Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj
in Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math, Nabadwip
.

Subject:

  • To go to Narayana-loka is not so easy. First liberation from this material world is necessary.
  • To get liberation is not so easy, but Hari Nama Sankirttan can give that.
  • Namabhasa can give mukti. Haridas Thakur declared it and challenged other brahmins.
  • It is necessary to leave the ten kinds of offence to the Holy Name.
  • Faith is necessary.
  • First we must go to the level of "no man's land," that plane we must cross, then we can say we are liberated.
  • After that, comes the matter of the types of liberation, but first it is necessary to be clean from this mundanity, and that is called mukti.
  • It is necessary to make your heart as fertile earth. First this is necessary, then the seed of the creeper of devotion will grow by following the process of hearing and chanting.
  • If we believe in the protection of the Lord, then even if we see someone has his head cut off we will see that God has taken him to another plane.
  • If we are strong in our level of thinking, then we can understand what is what.
  • First faith is necessary.
  • Consciousness gives feeling, willing and thinking.
